That is what the preset asks for: walls, windows, doors, ceiling and camera angle stay put, and only furniture, finishes, colors and decor change. Results are usually faithful, but small details like outlets or trim can shift, so treat it as a concept image.

Which interior styles can I choose?

Can I redesign an empty room?

Yes. With an empty room the model furnishes it from scratch in the style you pick, which is handy for virtual staging ideas.

Does it work for kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes. Pick Kitchen or Bathroom so the model redesigns cabinets, counters, tiles and fixtures rather than adding a sofa.

Can I use the images for a real estate listing?

You can download and use them, but many listing sites require AI-staged or virtually staged photos to be labeled. Always show the real room too.

Are my photos private?

Uploads and results are deleted after 24 hours. The photo is sent to the model provider to run the edit and is not used to train our models.

What this AI interior design tool does

It restyles the room in your photo instead of inventing a new one. The prompt tells the model to keep the walls, windows, doors, ceiling and camera angle fixed and to change the furniture, flooring, finishes, colors, lighting and decor (or, if you choose, everything except your existing furniture). That is what makes the result useful: you can see how a Japandi bedroom or a modern kitchen would look in your actual space.

Under the hood it runs the same image to image models as the image to image AI tool: Google's Nano Banana 2 on Standard and HD, and OpenAI's GPT Image on Pro. Standard is free once a day without an account.

Name what must stay

Add 'keep the fireplace' or 'keep the wood floor' to the brief if something should not change.

Run it twice

Each run is a fresh design. If the first one is close, run the same style again for a second option.

What it does not do

It is a visual mood board, not a floor plan. Furniture sizes are believable but not measured, so check real dimensions before you buy anything.
It will not move walls or windows, and it cannot show what is outside the frame. Very dark or very cropped photos give the model less to work with.
